UPSTREAM OIL AND GAS OUTSIDE SALES ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION

As an upstream oil and gas outside sales engineer, you’ll cover Denver, CO to Casper, Wyoming. This position is based out of Littleton, CO.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical end-user sales to industrial process automation and control customers
  • Develop and manage an entrepreneurial territory account plan
  • Achieve financial territory goals
  • Work with principals to introduce, promote, and position products and services
  • Review technical specifications and determine appropriate product form, fit, and function
  • Present technical quotations and proposals to customers
  • Participate in principal factory training as required
  • Travel, 30% based on geography

REQUIREMENTS

  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Self-motivated with a proven sales track record
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships utilizing outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Utilized solution selling techniques to interview customers, ascertain problems and needs, and provide solutions
  • Effectively manage time and multiple tasks, often with shifting priorities, to maximize results
  • Networking with customers and accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute territory sales account plans
  • Competitive attitude and a desire to win
  • Upstream Oil and Gas experience and or knowledge

PREFERRED

  • 3+ years in an outside sales role
  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the process automation & controls industry
  • Salesforce CRM
